Hal Bosher is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yoma Bank headquartered in Yangon, Myanmar. He has led Yoma Bank’s transformation since moving to Yangon in 2012. Over the past six years he has forged partnerships with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Telenor, GIZ and the Livelihoods and Security Trust Fund (LIFT) while growing the Bank’s assets by over $1.5B USD. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Wave Money Myanmar, a joint venture between Telenor and Yoma Bank as well as a member of the Serge Pun and Associates (SPA) Executive Committee. Prior to joining Yoma Bank, Mr. Bosher spent 10 years with the World Bank Group at both the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). Most recently, he was MIGA’s Regional Representative for Northern Asia based in Hong Kong. While at MIGA, he founded the Agency’s private equity business supporting the development of frontier market funds. Prior to joining the World Bank, Mr. Bosher worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), McKinsey & Co., and INSEAD Business School. A Canadian national, Mr. Bosher holds a BA in economics and political science from McGill University in Montreal; an MA in International Finance and Southeast Asian Studies from the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC; and an MBA from IESE Business School in Spain.
Kyaw Soe Lin, Chief Technology Officer, Yoma Bank
U Kyaw Soe Lin is the founder of Yoma Bank’s IT department and is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer of the Bank. As an IT professional with more than 16 years of experience in customized software application development, Kyaw has accumulated in-depth knowledge of IT technologies and extensive experience in local and international banking operations, hospital management systems, and many other commercial sectors. His vast experience and expertise cover operations, programming, database management, telecommunications, networking and project management. The highlight of Kyaw’s IT career is the pioneering achievement of his team developing the “Yoma Integrated Banking System”, Myanmar’s first automated banking software, in 2000. Born and raised in Yangon, Kyaw graduated with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from Yangon University. He also holds a Master of Information Science from the University of Computer Studies, Yangon.

Win Lwin joined Kanbawza Bank in August 2015 as Deputy Managing Director and Head of International Banking Division (IBD) to manage overall service delivery for Trade Finance, Financial Institutions, Foreign Remittance, Corporate Advisory, Cash Management, Treasury and Trust Operations for developing deep, strategic partnerships with the company's top, most complex regional and global institutional clients to deliver long-term value and capabilities to drive revenue and company image across businesses and geographies. He is currently the Treasurer of KBZ Bank and holding Managing Director position and Head of Transaction Banking as well. Win Lwin also actively involved with developing new and existing structured financial Instruments and transformation projects with industry leaders to improve Myanmar capital markets and structured finance industry. He is also responsible for overseeing continuous improvements to business processes reengineering and procedure/policy changes. Win Lwin has more than 20 years of working experience in financial banking sector especially in global structured finance and fixed income products, collateral administration, document custody, corporate trust, portfolio management, trade support and treasury management. In the past, Win Lwin has worked for UBS Investment Bank, Wachovia Securities, Bank of New York Mellon, and International Finance Corporation IFC, the World Bank Group. In addition, Win Lwin has participated in US Federal Government financial stabilization programs: TARP, PPIP, TALF, MAIDEN LANE II & III as well as Canadian Government Master Asset Vehicles: MAV I, II & III Programs.
